Want a Flat Stomach Fast? - Puh-lease!

We live in a society where everyone wants everything now. People are obsessed with quick fixes like the green tea and grapefruit diets and other so-called solutions that want you to believe you can flatten your stomach fast.

If these were real solutions that worked, don't you think everyone you know would have a flat stomach? There wouldn't be a flabby gut to be found if the green tea diet worked like some ads have promised.

Don't get me wrong. Green tea has some fat burning and weight loss properties. It is a great supplement to a healthy weight loss plan. However, don't believe in the hype about it flattening your stomach in a few short days.

No Quick Fixes

The bottom line is there are no fast ways to get a flat stomach. It takes hard work and dedication just like anything else in life. So if you are not planning to educate yourself on healthy eating habits and exercise then there's no point in pursuing this goal.

You can chase these fad diets all you want, but you'll quickly find that there's nothing fast about them. In fact, many of them harm your metabolism and can actually make you gain more weight in the long run.

Starving yourself may seem like a fast way to lose weight, but what is really happening is that you are slowing down your metabolism so when your regular eating habits do return (and they will... you won't eat like that forever), you end up packing on the pounds much faster than before!

Start Small

Don't expect yourself to cut out all the bad foods and start a faithful exercise routine immediately. You have to ease yourself into this.

Instead, pick one or two things you are going to accomplish. For example, you could say that for the next 2 weeks you are only going to drink water and eliminate all fruit juices and soda.

That's much more realistic than saying you are going to eat healthy for the next 2 weeks. When you try to quit your habits cold turkey, it opens the door for burnout and you'll be back to your old habits in no time.

Do the same with exercise. Set a small goal like "Walk 1500 more steps every day." You could accomplish this by parking farther away from the door at work or while running your daily errands, walking on a treadmill, or even walking around the block.

Easing yourself into better habits is much better than pressuring yourself to live some unrealistic, perfect lifestyle for the rest of your life.

Flat Stomach Diet Pills

I never endorse nor have I used any kind of diet pill whether it's for flattening the stomach or weight loss in general. I don't care how safe any of them may seem, diet pills almost always mean danger.

Haven't you noticed that most (if not all) of these pills are re-called after a certain period of time? Not surprising. After further research, they usually find that they are harmful to your health. Many of these pills on the market have not been approved by the FDA.

Again, these fast methods of losing weight and flattening the stomach are bogus and it's sad that millions of people spend their hard earned money on these scams every year. Many of these companies are playing on the public's ignorance about weight loss and they know how desperate people are to lose weight fast.

Most diet pills don't do anything but give you false hope, alter your metabolism and possibly cause other health complications.

Flatten Your Stomach for the Long Term

If you want to flatten your stomach the right way, spend time educating yourself on healthy eating habits, good exercises like ab crunches, pilates, set realistic expectations and check your motivations.

And if any company tells you that it's possible to flatten your stomach quickly by using some "proven system" or diet pill, understand they are much more concerned about getting your money than keeping you fit and healthy.
